Wrapping up this first week of 2022 with some good news 
After reviewing the 92,899 petition signatures + comments submitted in response to the Lease Sale 258 Draft EIS, 99.98% of those were OPPOSED to the proposed lease sale! Thank you to all who took the time to stand to protect Lower Cook Inlet from oil & gas development.
After reviewing the 92,899 petition signatures + comments submitted in response to the Lease Sale 258 Draft EIS, 99.98% of those were OPPOSED to the proposed lease sale! Thank you to all who took the time to stand to protect Lower Cook Inlet from oil & gas development.The agency’s next step is issuing a final EIS that responds to all substantive comments. At that time, they would adopt an action alternative (proposed action, no action, or an alternative). After at least a 30-day wait period, a record of decision is issued.
