Today the International Pacific Halibut Commission revealed the 2021 halibut catches for the West Coast, British Columbia and Alaska. The total removals by all sectors adds up to 39 million pounds, a 6.53% increase over 2020.

The fishery will begin on March 6 and end on December 7, adding one month to the season.
